Day 1 ISTANBUL
Arrival to Istanbul Airport and transfer to hotel, remainder of day at leisure
Overnight in Istanbul .
Day 2 ISTANBUL
Full day tour with licensed tour guide visiting the world famous landmarks and heritage of Istanbul. Sights include the Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Topkapi Palace Museum, Ancient Hippodrome lunch at local restaurant and Grand Bazaar (Kapalicarsi). After the tour, return to hotel and evening at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul
Day 3 ISTANBUL - EPHESUS
In the morning join on a half day cruise on the Bosphorus which separates the Asia and Europe. During the cruise visit the Spice (Egyptian) Bazaar and Rumeli Fortress. The afternoon is then at leisure until transfer to the bus station. Travel on overnight bus from Istanbul to Kusadasi / Selcuk (Direct flights from Istanbul are also available or direct charter flight to Izmir, if you prefer to fly).
Day 4 EPHESUS
If by overnight bus, arrival early morning and after a short rest, depart on a full day tour to visit the remains of Artemis Temple, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then on to visit Ephesus Ancient City, the best preserved Greco-Roman city in the world. Here you will explore the Agora, Odeon, Curettes Street, public toilets, Celsius Library, Roman Baths, Grand Theatre, Marble Street. After a lunch break depart for the House of Virgin Mary and visit the chapel where she is said to have spent her last days. End the day with transfer to your hotel and the evening at leisure. Overnight in Selcuk or Kusadasi.
Day 5 PAMUKKALE - FETHIYE
After breakfast drive to Pamukkale. Sightseeing and Lunch in Pamukkale. Than local bus drive to Fethiye.
Overnight in Fethiye.
Day 6 START GULLET TOUR
Departure from Fethiye Harbour between 11 and 12 a.m. to Samanlik Bay for swimming & lunch. Butterfly Valley (sea conditions permitting) is our next stop for a swim & to visit this natural reserve, hosting 136 kinds of different butterflies and moths. Afterwards we cruise to Oludeniz (The Blue Lagoon). Last stop of the day is St-Nicholas Island. Visit the Byzantine ruins, swim. ( DINNER INCLUDED)
Day 7 GULLET
Around sunrise departure to Aquarium or Firnaz Bay near Kalkan for breakfast & swimming. Cruising to Kas where we stop in the harbour for lunch & visit of this charming fishing village. Of ancient Antiphellos, as Kas was once known, only Lycian rock tombs & sarcophagi and the Roman theatre are left. But the charm of the town remains! In a bay near Kekova we stop for swimming. ( DINNER INCLUDED)
Day 8 GULLET
Breakfast . Departure to Sunken City of Kekova (this Lycian- Roman archaeological site is protected, so only looking!) Simena, a traditional Turkish fishing village with no car access and Byzantine/Ottoman castle. In Gokkaya Bay water sports are available. Dinner, relax in this pirates haven or party the night away at the Smugglers Inn. ( DINNER INCLUDED)
Day 9 GULLET - OLYMPOS
After breakfast we have a look at the Pirates Cave before cruising to Andriace harbour (lunch). Bus transfer to the archaeological site of Myra, and to Demre for the St-Nicholas Church, shopping and banking when requested. Bus transfer to all tree houses in Olympos where we arrive between 4 and 6 pm. Overnight Olympos, maybe on top of a tree?.
Day 10 OLYMPOS
Free day at leisure, Olympos. If you like to have small adventure and climb up to Olympos Mountain, there is optional evening tour to Olympos Mountain where still you can see natural fire.
Day 11 OLYMPOS - CAPPADOCIA
Free day at leisure, 8:00 pm overnight coach to Goreme Cappadocia.
Day 12 CAPPADOCIA
Arriving at apx. 7:00 am to Cappadocia, this miracle of nature with unique mushroom-shaped landscape, fairy chimneys, strawberry-coloured hills, cave dwellings and colourful little Byzantine churches and monasteries. After breakfast visit Goreme natural park, an open-air museum, a complex or rock churches and chapels covered with frescos carved in rock. Visit the pottery workshop in Avanos and lunch in the village, Pasabagi (Monk's Valley). Then Uchisar which is the highest view point of the region before returning to Goreme. Overnight in a cave dwelling. (B,L)
Day 13 CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast we drive Pigeon valley and then to Derinkuyu underground city dug 80 mt. underground into the soft tufa rock and used by the local Christians during enemy invasions and Roman persecutions. We then trek 3.5 km of the amazing Ihlara Canyon and stop at the village for lunch. On the way back we visit the 13th century Agzikarahan caravansary. Overnight in Goreme.
Day 14 CAPPADOCIA - ISTANBUL
Free day in Goreme village. Optional hot air ballooning, horse riding, rock climbing. 8:00 pm overnight coach to Istanbul. Or you may chose to fly from Kayseri to Istanbul (optional).
Day 15 ISTANBUL
Arrive to Sultanahmet. Transfer to the hotels or airport, end of services. Additional nights can be added in Istanbul. (Hotel not included today just transfer)
