Day 1 EPHESUS and LEODICEA
Morning pick up from hotel in Izmir/Kusadasi/Selcuk. Then continue to Selcuk where we will visit the Ancient City of Ephesus (representing many different facets of Ancient Greek and Roman culture) and finally the House of Virgin Mary (where she is said to have spent the last of her days). Then drive to Church of St. John th Theologian. After lunch drive to Pamukkale via Leodicea. On the way we will make a short stop at Leodicea (mentioned in Revelations as the "City of Compromise").
Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 2 THYATIRA, SARDES, PHILADELPHIA, PERGAMON
After breakfast and check out, depart to visit the ruins of Thyatira (founded by the Lydians), Sardes (wealthy capital of the Lydian Empire) and Philadelphia (important for the spreading of thought patterns and activities of the Hellenistic civilization and Christian faith). Our day will end on arrival to Pamukkale with a visit to the natural formation of the travertines (Cotton Cliffs) and ruins of Hierapolis.
Overnight in Pergamon.
Day 3 PERGAMON - KUSADASI
Depart on drive through Izmir City Centre with a stop at Kadifekale (translated as Velvet Castle) for panoramic views over the bay and city. We then depart to Bergama and the ruins of Pergamum (previously a renowned cultural and political center and used by the Romans as an administrative center for the province of Asia). Here we will visit the ruins of the Acropolis and the Asclepion with its theatre.
After drive back to Kusadasi or Selcuk or drop you of at Izmir Airport.... end of our services
